Not Merry Enough - Yet

We wish we were merrier. We’re not.

The world is on fire, literally — and too little is being done about it. The world is at war — and these foreign wars are also creating havoc here and around the world. Democracy is in peril — and far too many people are complacent or complicit. And hatred is running rampant — hatred of Jews, Muslims, immigrants, blacks, browns, Asians, LGBTQ+ and more.

We believe in do unto others… but we’re outrageously frustrated that some others believe otherwise.

Greed is taking over good. Hate often overpowers hope. And fascism could be our future.

For us, we refuse to lose. Personally and professionally, we are dedicated to making the world a better place — more moral, ethical, compassionate, freer and fairer.

While we wish everyone peace on earth and goodwill to all, we’re working hard to compel more people to rsie up and fight to make the idealized spirit of the season our actual reality.

Our snow is melting. Our trees are burning. Our lights are flashing. But next December we have the power to celebrate a brighter, better world if we turn our wishes into effort.

Here’s to a happier, healthier 2024. Let’s protect democracy… make hate politically incorrect again… and live the reality next year that are mere wishes this year.
